Loctite 277 Threadlocker High Strength, 50ml
Red, high strength, high viscosity methacrylate-based threadlocking adhesive, suited to large threads. Fluoresces to allow monitoring.
LOCTITE 277 is a red, high strength, high viscosity, methacrylate-based threadlocking adhesive. It has a fixture time on steel of 30 min, brass 25 min and stainless steel 270 min making it deal for applications where migration of the adhesive must be prevented. Can tolerate slight contaminations of industrial oils. Suited to large threads. Fluoresces to allow monitoring.
- Prevents loosening and leakage from shock & vibration: It fills all gaps between the mating threads and cures into a hard thermoset plastic that strengthens the assembly against shocks and seals the threads.
- High viscosity product: The high viscosity of the product makes it ideal for applications where migration of adhesive must be prevented.
- Fluorescent: It has a characteristic red colour that fluoresces under UV light. This helps during service to detect as to whether or not the product had been applied.
- It has a fixture time on steel of 30 minutes, brass for 25 minutes and stainless steel for 270 minutes.
- Localized heat may be required to weaken the bonds before disassembly.
